ISONG Awards

The ISONG Founders' Awards were established in 1996 during the transition between the presidencies of Shirley Jones and Janet Williams. The purpose of these awards is to honor individual ISONG members who demonstrate excellence in research, education, and service. It is clear that many ISONG members are pioneers in genetic nursing. One of the highest forms of recognition one can receive is tribute from one's peers. These awards make it possible for our professional organization to recognize those who are leaders in the development of genetic nursing and genomic health care. The three award categories reflect the vision of ISONG to advance genetic nursing in research, education, and service.
